Interested in Joining Our Club?
Join us on our midweek ski trips and other outings and enjoy the camaraderie of fellow skiers. Our club was founded in 1988 to provide skiing and other activities for persons 50+ years of age. Most of our members live in either Nassau or Suffolk Counties with some members living in Westchester, Manhattan, or even farther away. Meetings are generally held once a month except during the summer. The main club activity is skiing but the club arranges other activities for its members, such as bicycling, our primary activity during the off season. In fact, some members do not ski at all, but join us on bike rides, or kayak outings. See our Contacts and Membership page for more information about club membership. Most of our ski trips are midweek when it is less crowded - either a day trip to the Catskill area resorts, or longer week trips to places like Maine, Vermont, or New Hampshire. Members enjoy the company of one another and appreciate the togetherness that develops on a trip. As we are not an overly large club, you will not get lost in a crowd. Some members take many trips with the club, while others may go on one ski trip a year, or just elect to participate in our bicycle outings. If you are unsure about membership, just come to one of our meetings or on a ski trip as a guest to see what we are like. You are under no obligation to join.
The 50+ Ski Club is a member of the Metropolitan New York Ski Council MNYSC , and the New Jersey Ski & Snowboard Council NJSSC . Our membership entitles us to participate in their ski trips, and our members can receive various discounts on lift tickets and other events.
